Getting started

Applying – Retail Management

Apply for a pub or pub restaurant management role. Your application will take about 20 minutes, so grab a cup of tea or coffee.

You'll also need to have your NI number to hand (check your payslip if you haven't yet committed it to memory).

Ordinarily, we accept applications only via this website. However, if you have a disability or special need which makes completing the online form difficult, call us on 0121 498 5889 and we will be more than happy to make alternative arrangements.

What happens next?

If your application meets our role criteria, we'll call you for an interview. We'll expect you to be reasonably familiar with the kinds of businesses you're applying for, so do a bit of research before you set out.

As part of the interview you will be required to complete a numerical and profit and loss assessment. Here are sample questions and answers to check out.

Typically the next stage of the process will be completing a SWOT analysis and / or business plan and meeting a Retail Business Manager.
