Double century for Harvester
Mitchells & Butlers' Harvester Salad & Grill opened its 200th restaurant in Peterborough on Tuesday 3 April as the leading brand continues its ambitious expansion plans.
The new restaurant marks a major milestone in the history of Harvester, which opened its first restaurant in Morden in 1983.
The new salad & grill, situated at the Pavilions in Peterborough, has created more than 50 new jobs and means the Harvester brand employs more than 8,000 people across the UK.
This job creation is set to increase as Harvester's results continue to defy the current trend in the economy. Harvester has plans for further growth as the company continues to expand its presence across Britain.
Alex Meyer, senior marketing manager for Harvester Salad & Grill, said: "To open our 200th restaurant represents a landmark in our expansion plans. Our success has and continues to be based on our commitment 'to bring out the best', which means freshly prepared food, prepared by dedicated chefs and, of course, the iconic Harvester salad bar."
"Over the last seven years we have opened more than 70 restaurants across the UK and we are committed to further growth in the next few years."
