With 48 outlets, Nicholson's pubs are located in central London primarily catering for city workers and tourists. Each pub is individual, with its own original features and specific heritage offering quality food and a wide range of drinks.
In the 18th century, a family of distillers settled in London’s historic Clerkenwell district. It was from there that the Nicholson’s resolved to “try their fortunes” and “become founders of their own houses.” Over the last few years, the Nicholson’s pub company has expanded in central London, concentrating mainly in the City and West End.
Each unique pub has its own story such as Williamson’s Tavern - the former residence of the Lord Mayor of London; the incredible art nouveau Blackfriar - built on the site of a monastery; The Cole Hole - so named because part of it served The Savoy Hotel as a coal cellar, and the Argyll Arms next to Oxford Circus, where a pub has stood for over 300 years.
The fundamentals of success for Nicholson’s remain constant; providing timeless hospitality to customers, with excellent food, fine drink and quality service within its own unique environment.
