Harvester Help Grant Magical Wishes with Charity Donation

Harvester restaurants has helped raise over £46,000 for MakeľA-Wish« UK, the charity that grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.

Up and down the country, Harvester restaurants have been participating in the 'Bake-A-Wish' initiative, with the goal of raising £20,000 for Make- A-Wish.

With over 200 restaurants on board, the brand successfully smashed its target with the final amount raised standing at £46,884, making it the largest donation Harvester has ever made to MakeľA-Wish.

Richard Cox, Brand Operations Director, Harvester, said: "We're thrilled to have contributed to the donation from Harvester and think it's fantastic that the brand as a whole managed to raise so much. At Harvester, we're dedicated to creating memorable experiences for the whole family, so Make-A-Wish was the perfect cause for us to support.

"All the teams across Harvester really enjoyed taking part in the fundraising and it was a great way to engage with the local community and give back to those who need it most. We will definitely be taking part in future initiatives like this."

Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Since being established in the UK in 1986, Make-A-Wish has granted more than 9,000 wishes. Wishes can range from meeting an idol, to enjoying a family holiday or having a dream bedroom makeover.

Amanda Williams, Director of Fundraising at Make-A-Wish commented: "The donation from Harvester was tremendous and I want to thank everyone who took part for helping to raise such a huge amount. Here at Make-A-Wish we're so passionate about what we do and it is so rewarding granting wishes to deserving children and young people.The donation from Harvester will be used to help us continue granting wishes to those who need a little magic."
