Special Harvester Sundae Set To Grant Wishes

Special Harvester Sundae Set To Grant Wishes

Harvester has launched a brand new ice cream sundae in a bid to boost the coffers of a special children's charity.

The Chocolate Star Sundae is an irresistible blend of milk chocolate covered nougat pieces, with rich Devonshire toffee sauce and Belgium chocolate sauce, topped with milk chocolate stars and a crispy wafer.

The dessert will be available on the menu from May 16, with 25 pence from each sundae being donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK.

Harvester restaurants up-and-down the country have raised more than £200,000 for the charity, which is the organisation's chosen charity, over the last five years.

Rachel Westwood, Marketing Manager, said: "Now that summer is approaching, it is the perfect time to boost our menu with this taste bud-tickling sundae in aid of our chosen charity. We're looking forward to serving up plenty of helpings of this new dessert over the coming weeks."

Make-A-Wish helps children and young people with life-threatening conditions by granting their magical wish. It was founded in the UK in June 1986 and, since then, has granted more than 7,600 wishes.

Karen England, Director of Fundraising, added: "We're thrilled that Harvester is continuing to support our charity by taking this innovative approach, which will help raise further awareness of the work we do and enable us to continue to transform the lives of special children."
