Harvester supports Make-A-Wish Foundation UK
This month, Harvester is aiming to raise more than £50,000 for a special children's charity, Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, during its fifth annual fundraising month.
Last year, staff organised their own fundraising events including wing walks, bike rides and fun days and similar activities will be taking place this year.
As well as these fundraising events, guests will be given the chance to make a donation to Make-A-Wish and by doing so will be entered into a special Harvester prize competition. A family holiday to Disneyland Paris, ten Apple iPod Nanos and two Nintendo Wii Bundles with Wii Fit Plus are all up for grabs.
In the last three years Harvester has raised over £100,000 for Make-A-Wish. The charity helps children and young people with life-threatening conditions by granting their magical wish. It was founded in the UK in June 1986 and, since then, has granted over 5,500 wishes.
Karen England, Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK's Director of Fundraising, added: "It's fantastic to see that Harvester is aiming to raise even more money this year, and beat last year's impressive record. We are delighted to be working with Harvester for the fifth year running, increasing awareness of our work as well as raising much needed funds that will add magic to the lives of special children.''
