MIDAS touch for Mitchells & Butlers

Mitchells & Butlers has scooped three awards at the industry's Menu Innovation & Development Awards (MIDAS) 2012.

The awards, presented at the Cumberland Hotel in London on Thursday 22 March, are industry-wide and recognise menu excellence within specific categories. Mitchells & Butlers' Food Development Managers were up against leading competition with entries from across the whole UK eating out sector.

The Company's winning Food Development Managers were:

- Kirsty Green: City Bar Dining Award, for All Bar One
- Graham Hodgson: Premium Pub Dining, for Premium Country Dining Group
- Richard Gray: Value Pub Restaurant, for Sizzling Pubs

Dennis Deare, Director of Food Trading at Mitchells & Butlers, said: "These awards are testament to all of the work these guys put in, but more importantly, the passion they have for developing the food offerings within our brands. They were up against some quality opposition from the industry which makes this all the more pleasing. But ultimately it's our guests that come to eat and drink with us that we hope will benefit most."

Each of the winners receives a place on the Menu Innovation Network's insight tour of Chicago in May 2012, including entry to the world's largest food service event, the NRA Show.
