Mitchells & Butlers celebrate 'Best of Birmingham' Broad Street Awards

Mitchells & Butlers, the UK's leading operator of managed pubs and pub restaurants, this week celebrated a clean sweep of awards at the ‘Best of Birmingham' Broad Street Awards.

Now in their third year, the awards were staged at the International Convention Centre where more than 300 VIP guests gathered to celebrate the teams behind Birmingham's pubs, clubs, hotels and bars.

All Bar One on Brindley Place took the crown of Best Managed House; Reflex on Broad Street scooped the award for Best Themed Venue; and the recently refurbished Brasshouse on Broad Street again came up trumps in the Best Casual Dining category, with All Bar One also commended in this category.

It wasn't just the venues celebrating success however, as two individuals working with Mitchells & Butlers also celebrated personal achievements.  Leigh Burke of Reflex was awarded the Best Door Supervisor, with Tony Lewis of the Brasshouse also commended in this category.

Tim Clarke, chief executive of Mitchells & Butlers, said: "For the achievements of the teams - and the individuals - behind a number of our pubs and venues to be recognised in these awards is something that we're extremely proud of.

"Broad Street is a vibrant part of Birmingham and the teams working at the pubs, bars and venues located there play an important role in providing a safe, enjoyable evening's entertainment for many local people."
