What are we looking for?
We want to ensure that any food and drink we receive is safe, of the right quality, agreed quantities and that proper standards are followed. This means not only checking the safety, legality, authenticity, and quality of our products but also ensuring it is sourced ethically and with proper regard to the workers who produce the food and the way it is produced.
Whenever practicable we encourage our suppliers to source UK grown products.
At Mitchells and Butlers we use advanced systems to monitor our supply data to ensure the high standards we expect. We want to work with our suppliers using the systems available to ensure we both grow our reputation and profitability.
To achieve these high expectations, we require suppliers to complete and comply with our various specifications and standards.
Becoming a supplier?
If you would like to become a Mitchells and Butlers food or drink supplier then please email [email protected] or write to Procurement team, Mitchells and Butlers, 27 Fleet Street, Birmingham, B3 1JP.
If we are interested in your product or company, we will then ask you to supply further information. We use Central Distribution Centres and are always looking for new and interesting products that can be delivered consistently. Our food suppliers must obtain a standard of BRCGS or accredited to a similar high standard. Our real ale suppliers must be accredited to Salsa plus Beer. MAB audits may also be required in addition to certification.
Should our buyers agree, you will receive a supplier introduction pack. Once you have returned the completed documents and all checks are verified, you will then become a Mitchells and Butlers supplier.
As a supplier we shall continue to work with you to ensure the high standards of safety, quality, and consistency that our customers demand. Our Food Development Managers also work closely with producers to create new products and we have long term relationships with many of our suppliers.
Business Continuity
Mitchells and Butlers will require that all suppliers have sufficient resilience in place to ensure continuity of supply following a disruption.
To this end Mitchells and Butlers will work with suppliers to ensure appropriate controls are in place.
