I would like to book a table at one of your pubs or restaurants?
Please contact the pub or restaurant directly. Some of our restaurants also have online booking available via their websites. Click here to search for your nearest pub or restaurant and the contact details.
Do you allow electronic cigarettes to be used in your pubs and restaurants?
For the comfort of all our guests Mitchells & Butlers do not allow the use of electronic cigarettes within our premises. Although we realise that the fumes are just vapours and non harmful this is not clearly understood by everyone and can lead to confusion for others. Therefore, to prevent this, we request that guests do not use this product in our premises.
What ID do I need when visiting one of your pubs or restaurants?
We operate a Challenge 21 policy in England and Wales and a Challenge 25 policy across our businesses in Scotland. This means if a guest appears to be under 21 (or under 25 in Scotland) then we require proof that they are over 18, before alcohol will be sold. In these circumstances, our server will ask to see an acceptable form of proof of age ID. If a guest cannot provide this, they will be politely refused service and advised to return with the necessary ID.
We only accept 4 types of proof of age ID:
✔ International passport
✔ UK or European Union photo-card driving licence (full or provisional)
✔ Proof of age card with 'PASS' accredited hologram
✔ UK Military identification card (MOD form 90)
Do you serve alcohol to 16 or 17 year olds when eating in one of your pubs?
As a matter of good practice, we do not serve alcohol to anyone under the age of 18, even though there are circumstances in the law which allow this. This is in order to ensure that we are doing all we can to prevent underage drinking and uphold our licensing responsibilities.
I am barred from one of your pubs, what can I do?
It is important to us that our pubs and restaurants provide a safe, social and welcoming environment for all our guests. From time to time our pub teams may have to make a decision to bar an individual guest for the safety of our other guests and staff. These decisions are made at the manager's discretion, at a local level and we support their right as responsible license holders to make such decisions. Consequently all decisions are final and cannot be appealed centrally via our Retail Support Centre.
What is your breast feeding policy?
We welcome breast feeding mothers into our businesses. We understand it's important to feel comfortable when feeding therefore we simply ask that mothers are discreet and thoughtful to other guests.
Do you allow dogs into your pubs and restaurants?
We allow guide dogs and assistant dogs into our businesses. Many of our pubs allow dogs in their garden areas, but please check with the business before you visit to avoid disappointment.
Where can I get nutritional information on your menus?
Details of the full nutritional value of each dish (i.e. its calorie content; the levels of fat, saturated fat, sugar, and salt; and the proportions of protein and carbohydrate) are already available on our Harvester, Toby Carvery, and Crown Carveries websites.
If you are dining in one of our other brands please speak to the restaurant direct or contact our Guest Care team for more details.
What is your halal policy?
We hope the following information provides you with the necessary detail and clarification on Halal meat.
When we source our meat, our decisions are based on animal welfare standards, food safety and quality. We use a variety of suppliers, mostly in the UK and Ireland, but some from abroad. All of our suppliers, regardless of location, operate to strict EU animal welfare standards, which require that all animals are stunned before slaughter to ensure they are killed humanely. This is the industry standard used by all the major retailers and restaurants.
To be absolutely clear, we have no requirement for any of our suppliers to supply us with Halal certified meat. Please also be aware that none of the meals on our menus are prepared or cooked to a Halal standard.
Do you have allergen/special dietary information available for guests?
We're aware that some of our guests are allergic to certain foods, or suffer from food intolerances that can make going out to eat awkward or difficult. Every guest is important to us and we are working hard to make sure that anyone following a special diet has the information they need to feel confident about the suitability and safety of our food for them.
All our brands have an allergen guide available for their full menu, and a dedicated guide to dishes that do not contain gluten or milk-containing ingredients. This guide also includes details of dishes containing gluten and lactose.
