Mitchells & Butlers announces today a change programme to simplify the organisational structure of the Company, devolving responsibility and accountability within the business in order to enhance the guest experience and continue to grow its restaurants and pubs.

The first stage of this programme is the appointment of Robin Young as Operations Director and the reshaping of the existing three-channel structure into nine more focussed and accountable Brand Groups, each led by Brand Operations Directors reporting directly into the Operations Director.

At the same time, Kevin Todd will assume the position of Business Development Director working alongside Robin to develop the Company's customer service and food quality initiatives, in addition to taking responsibility for strategic marketing activities. As a consequence of this restructuring, Amanda Coldrick, Roger Moxham and Adam Martin will leave the Company following a short handover period.

Bob Ivell, Executive Chairman, commented: "This change programme will build on our track record of delivering great hospitality to our guests by streamlining the back office structure into one that can more efficiently support our customer facing teams and respond to the ever changing eating and drinking out market."

"The first stage in the process sees the appointment of Robin Young as Operations Director. Robin has exceptional operational and change management experience across a variety of companies and sectors and I look forward to working with him to deliver even better hospitality to our guests. We will also be supported by Kevin Todd in his new role as Business Development Director with the benefit of his substantial experience of the Company and its operations."

"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Amanda, Roger and Adam for their dedication to the business and the leadership they have shown. We wish them the very best in the future."
