Cask ale tasting rack launched at Ember Inns

Ember Inns has launched a specially designed cask ale tasting rack and is inviting guests across the country to join them to taste a wide variety of regionally brewed ales from as far a field as Okell's Brewery on the Isle of Man, to the Coach House Brewery in Warrington.

As part of its already successful cask ale programme, the new tasting racks feature three 1/3 pint glasses which enable guests to sample three different ales. The racks have been designed to encourage ardent ale drinkers and non-ale drinkers alike to experiment with cask ale, and with guest ales on offer from regional and microbreweries as well as the well known classics, there are certainly lots to try.

Matthew Deane, senior marketing manager for Ember Inns comments: "At Ember Inns we have always had an uncompromising focus on our cask ale offering. We are committed to supporting the British ale industry and regional and micro breweries and almost all of our sites now boast Cask Marque accreditation.

"The launch of this new tasting rack is to make cask ale more accessible to all of our guests including non-ale drinkers who can now experiment with the wide range of ales available, as well as encouraging committed cask ale lovers to give a new brew a go."

The tasting racks, which are available in all Ember Inns pubs across the UK, cost only £2.50 and each month there will be a selection of different cask ales available for guests to try.

Tony Jerome, CAMRA's senior marketing manager, adds: "These new tasting racks are a great opportunity for dedicated real ale drinkers to try a selection of their regional favourites and for new-comers to find out which ales suit their taste buds.

"There are over 2,500 cask ales brewed in the Britain and it is nice to see that Ember Inns is supporting regional and micro breweries from around the country."
