Harvester launches free mobile app for guests

Mitchells & Butlers' Harvester brand has launched its first iPhone app, allowing guests to work out the calories and the cost of their favourite dishes on their mobile phones.

The app is available to download for free from Apple in the App Store for iPhone users, meaning everything that Harvester fans need is at their fingertips wherever they are.

The app's functionality means guests can find which of the 176 Harvesters across the UK is their nearest, view contact details for the restaurant, and add their favourite Salad & Grill.

Guests can also use the app to take a look at all of Harvester's menus, viewing prices as well as nutritional, calorie and allergy information. In fact, the app allows people to pre plan their meals, providing a running total in terms of calories and cost. They can also sign up for the latest news and offers.

Alex Meyer, Harvester's Senior Marketing Manager, comments: "Our iPhone app provides a new dimension to the Harvester experience for our guests, as they can now find the information they need while they're out and about, or on their way to one of our restaurants. It's an added bonus that our guests can also find out how many calories are in the dishes they're going to order by simply using their mobile phone."

Harvester is the first UK-wide restaurant brand to print dish-by-dish calorie information on menus within its 176 outlets across England, Scotland and Wales. This most recent innovation means customers now have three clear ways to access calorie information; via their smart phone, online via a web based calorie counter, and on menus in restaurants.

The Harvester app is available for free from the Apple store.
