It's Official - O'Neill's is the Best...Bar None In Leicester
O'Neill's, Loseby Lane, Leicester has beaten off stiff competition from 50 rival pubs, clubs, and bars to take first place in the city's inaugural Best Bar None scheme.
Intended to promote the responsible management and operation of licensed premises, the Best Bar None scheme is a collaboration of private and public partnerships -including Leicester City Council and the Leicestershire Constabulary - and attracted a record number of entries.
Despite this stiff competition O'Neill's was not only judged to be the winner of the Best Pub category but also the overall Best Bar None Award 2007.
The ultimate aim of the Best Bar None scheme is to offer and maintain a high quality, safe and enjoyable drinking experience within Leicester city centre. However, from dozens of applications just 50 venues received an accreditation and only a handful - those that excelled - were even considered for top honours.
By going that extra mile to achieve and maintain good practise, O'Neill's outshone the best that Leicester has to offer. The team can now proudly display their prize certificate to help visitors to the city centre make an informed choice about where to enjoy a good, safe night out.
Well done to the manager, James Bancroft, and his team.
