Local pubs create a stir by joining Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning
Mitchells & Butlers is supporting the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 28 September to brew up additional support for the event and help raise vital funds for leading cancer care charity Macmillan Cancer Support.
Over 620 Mitchells & Butlers’ pubs and venues are participating including O’Neill’s, Edward's, Ember Inns and hollywood bowl, plus many of our popular local pubs and bars up and down the country.
Participating pubs and venues are raising money by offering a free hot drink in return for a voluntary donation. To find a coffee morning near you simply visit www.macmillan.org.uk/coffee .
Kirstie Yates of Mitchells & Butlers said: “Our coffee mornings will run until 5pm to enable everyone to pop down to their local pub or venue. We’re inviting guests to bring along their favourite mug and, in return for a voluntary donation to Macmillan Cancer Support, we will fill it with a hot drink of their choice from our menu.”
Jason Suckley from Macmillan Cancer Support added: “Last year nearly two million people made their cuppas count and raised a total of £6.7 million. Having the support of Mitchells & Butlers is great - it will help boost this year’s campaign and will help us reach out to more communities and fundraisers.”
In addition to supporting the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning through the involvement of its 622 venues, Mitchells & Butlers will be matching the funds raised by the most successful venue to create an even bigger stir.
