Long Standing Regular Pulls First Pint At Luton's New Sizzling Pub

Long-standing pub regular Glen Larkin, pictured alongside the new landlord, Graham Atkin, was on hand to pull one of the first pints at the new look Leicester Arms in Dunstable Road which has now opened following a £250,000 refurbishment.

Glen has been a regular at the pub for over 15 years and was asked to mark the pub's re-opening by pulling one of the first pints.

Comments Glen: "It is a real honour to be asked to do this. I've seen many changes here from pub to pub restaurant and now back again. The Leicester Arms is a great local pub and I'm sure its new look will prove very popular."

The pub has been given a smarter appearance with an open-plan lounge and bar area, to give it a traditional, local feel. New furnishings, including new comfortable sofas and big bucket chairs add to the welcoming and friendly environment.

New Sizzling Pub Co landlord, Graham, said: "The way in which the pub has been redesigned inside means that regulars like Glen, as well as new customers will all have their favourite spot, whether that's standing at the bar, relaxing on sofas or catching up with friends for a quick bite to eat."

Ideal for a social drink, a game of darts or pool, or a 'brain-teasing' quiz evening, The Leicester Arms has it all. And for those who want a bite to eat with family or friends, the new menu offers Sizzling Platters, a selection of dishes from around the world, as well as favourite meals in three portion sizes to suit all appetites.

At the bar, there will be a variety of lagers, draught ale and hand-pulls, a selection of bottled lagers and at least eight different types of wine on offer, all at great value prices.
