Mitchells & Butlers recognised by industry peers
Mitchells & Butlers has been ranked as the second most admired company within the hospitality sector, according to a vote by 5,000 people working within the industry.
The vote, compiled annually by Eat Out Magazine, polls 5,000 of the industry's leading representatives including owners, operators, managers and directors of the UK's most successful restaurants, hotels, gastropubs, suppliers and caterers.
With nominations coming only from those working in the industry, criteria such as profitability, image, staff retention, innovation, sales and corporate social responsibility are all taken into account in the judging process.
Mitchells & Butlers' chief executive, Tim Clarke, said: "We now serve 107 million meals a year, compared to fewer than 15 million in 1995 and I am delighted that this achievement has been recognised in this way."
