Sizzling Pub Co. reaches the 200 mark

Sizzling Pub Co. has today unveiled its 200th pub with the opening of The Yenton in Erdington, Birmingham after extensive refurbishment.

To celebrate the occasion manager Mick King has enlisted the help of a huge chocolate fudge cake mountain (to serve 200 customers) and two local ex-football stars, former Birmingham City midfielder Paul Devlin and Aston Villa’s Gary Stirland, who have also both joined the Yenton’s over 35’s pub football team.

Mick comments: “Following the pub’s makeover we wanted to do something to mark the fact that we’re Sizzling Pub Co.’s 200th pub, so a celebratory chocolate fudge cake mountain seemed perfect. Keeping with the 200 theme we’re also offering the 200th pint on the house and the 200th customer will receive a free meal – if they’re not too full after all the chocolate cake that is!”

The Yenton is the perfect local pub for a social drink or bite to eat with friends and family. At the bar the Yenton offers a variety of lagers, beers and local ales; whilst wine lovers can enjoy a choice of 14 wines to suit all tastes.

Mick adds: “Our great-value food menu will be available seven days a week from 12noon to 9pm combining the Sizzling Pub Co.’s famous sizzling skillet dishes of steak, chicken and gammon with tasty traditional pub meals including Fish ‘n’ Chips, BBQ Smothered Chicken and Tipsy Steak Pie.
