Wednesday is Vintage Pie Day

Wednesdays at Vintage Inns give you an excellent reason to enjoy a top quality pub-food dish at a cosy country pub restaurant. We have a marvellous selection to choose from, all served with your choice of vegetables and potatoes.

Each week, you'll be able to choose from six of the following pies:

  • Slow-braised lamb shank with thyme and redcurrants, topped with buttery shortcrust pastry
  • Duck leg confit cassoulet topped with crisp potatoes and rosemary
  • Chicken, leek and mushroom in an applewood cheddar sauce, topped with puff pastry
  • Fish pie, with cod fillet, smoked haddock and king prawns in a smoked salmon, white wine and coriander cream, topped with crushed potatoes, peas and cheese
  • Steak and kidney pudding, with pulled slow cooked beef, red wine, onion & kidneys in suet pastry
  • Venison, port and carrot in red wine, leeks, redcurrant jelly, garlic and thyme, in parsley and pepper suet pastry
  • Three cheese and potato, with mature cheddar cheese, double gloucester, mozzarella, onion, double cream, dijon mustard and filo pastry (V)
  • Beef and merlot pie, with slow-cooked beef, red onion and shallots in red wine gravy

You can also choose one from each of the following accompaniments:

  • Potatoes - Mash, seasoned chips, baby potatoes or crispy potatoes
  • Vegetables - Red cabbage, peas, mushy peas, seasonal vegetable medley or roasted roots
