Browns Brasserie & Bar has achieved accreditation from Coeliac UK for their Gluten Free menu.

The achievement means customers can be assured of the integrity of the gluten free dishes on the Browns menu.

Browns in house development chefs and trainers, worked closely with Coeliac UK and launched their gluten free menu in January, featuring both new and traditional all day brasserie dishes adjusted to meet the 'gluten free' requirements.

Alex Palmer, from Browns restaurants comments: "It is incredibly important to us as a brand to be able to assure our guests of the integrity of our food and the expertise of our chefs. We feel our exciting new Gluten Free menu is the perfect way to showcase this"

The gluten free starters include beef carpaccio and British mussels, alongside exciting creations such as a torched Feta salad. A wide range of light mains, such as their seared tuna nicoise and beetroot & avocado salad are on offer, as well as more hearty dishes such as roasted lamb rump and whole grilled lobster.

Added to this there is a selection of tender steaks using beef from their own herds of Red Tractor farm-assured cattle, served with lightly dressed watercress and their thick cut chips. The desserts choice offers treats such as chocolate brownie and blueberry & white chocolate mess.

To achieve this accredited status requires risk assessments, changing working practises, product development and associated training followed by Coeliac UK audits. A sample of five Browns businesses were audited and all achieved the required standard.
