Mitchells & Butlers supporting Met Police campaign

Look up. Look out. Metropolitan police.

Mitchells & Butlers are working with the Metropolitan Police to support their street robbery reduction campaign.

Due to a recorded increase in street robbery and personal property theft, the new campaign from the Metropolitan Police aims to increase awareness in a bid to reduce the amount of people being targeted.

The campaign gives simple crime prevention advice to motivate, empower and mobilise Londoners to take steps to protect themselves and their property. These are:

  • Stay aware of your surroundings and pay attention to who's around you.
  • Keep valuables such as mobile phones, watches and cash out of sight
  • Plan your route home

Mitchells and Butlers are pleased to be working with the Met Police to help communicate these crime prevention messages in hotspot areas.

With the help of M&B pubs, the Met aims to raise awareness of vulnerability to personal robbery in key locations and equip guests to enjoy themselves during a night out.

Alongside a targeted social media campaign, some M&B London premises in the key areas will be displaying posters and leaflets, helping brief the message to our teams and guests.

Emma Thomas, Mitchells and Butlers security and licensing manager, said: "We want to thank all of our M&B premises who are helping to support the Met Police with this campaign.

"The conversations our team members have with guests and fellow employees can support these efforts and can really make a difference.

"With the help of the Met police we're pleased to be able to help raise awareness and reassure our guests on how they can safely enjoy themselves when out in London."
